Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 13 September 2026
This policy covers refunds and cancellations for two different things that Jominap is involved in: Part A covers a Guest's payment for a stay — money that always goes directly to the property's Owner, never to Jominap — and Part B covers an Owner's own subscription fee to Jominap. Refund outcomes for a stay depend on the property's plan and its own house rules; refund outcomes for a subscription depend on Jominap's own billing terms below.
Part A
Guest & Homestay Owner
Refunds for the stay — money that never touches Jominap.
A1. Basic-Plan Bookings
Payment is made by direct bank transfer straight to the Owner's own bank account. Any cancellation or refund is coordinated directly between the Guest and the Owner — Jominap does not hold this money, is not a party to the transfer, and cannot guarantee any particular refund outcome.
A2. Advance-Plan Bookings
Payment is made through the property's own connected payment gateway, but still settles directly into the Owner's own account — Jominap never holds it. An Owner can release the dates of an unpaid or approved-but-not-yet-paid booking from their dashboard at any time; once a booking has been paid in full, there is no automatic in-app refund — the Guest and Owner (and, where the Owner asks for it, Jominap's admin team) work out eligibility and amount together, taking the property's house rules into account.
A3. Security / Damage Deposits
A refundable security or damage deposit, where a property requires one, is returned or deducted from by direct agreement between the Guest and the Owner after checkout. Jominap does not hold deposit funds and is not the decision-maker in a deposit dispute.
A4. What Jominap Does Not Refund
Jominap charges no fee on any booking, so a booking refund is settled entirely between the Guest and the Owner — there is no Jominap fee to reverse. A loss caused by fraud or a scam — from either side of a booking — is not something Jominap refunds, guarantees, or arbitrates; see the Terms of Service, clause A7, for what Jominap is and isn't responsible for.
Part B
Homestay Owner & Jominap.my
Refunds for the subscription — Jominap's own billing terms.
B1. Subscription Fees Are Not Refunded for Partial Periods
An Owner's subscription fee (Basic RM19, Advance RM39, plus RM9 per additional unit) is charged once, at Go-live, for the plan and unit count at that moment. This fee is not refunded for a partial or unused month if an Owner stops using Jominap partway through a billing period.
B2. One-Time Setup Fee
The optional RM100 assisted-onboarding setup fee is non-refundable once the onboarding assistance has been completed. An Owner may request up to 3 amendments or corrections to the completed setup at no extra charge; requests beyond that may incur an additional fee.
B3. Trial Period
The 60-day free trial carries no charge at all, so no refund question arises during it — an Owner who decides not to continue simply never clicks "Go live," and is never billed.
B4. Billing Questions
For a question about a subscription charge, contact Jominap support at billing@jominap.my.
